one of the better pictures i got
So I went to see Lady GaGa last night. I was invited, last minute, by my friend who got the tickets as a birthday present from her mom.
She texted me Saturday night and said "Guess who just got gaga tickets for monday?!!" And I replied "OMG OMG OMG THAT'S AMAZING!" And she replied back "So yeah, you should get some money so you can come with."
Now, I figured if your mom buys you two tickets to a show, you invite a friend and go. I didn't know it meant you're supposed to invite the friend, and then make them pay for the ticket that you got for free.
Regardless, I wanted to go reeeally badly so I agreed to give her the $100 she was asking for, but not until January 2nd, when I get paid.
She was 100% ok with it.
I asked Loryn if her mom bought parking, or if we had to. And she had no idea, so she asked her mom who proceeded to tell her "Why do you hang out with broke-ass friends? Why doesn't Alex pay for parking? Why does he think he should get a free ticket and parking?" etc etc.
So Loryn told me that her mom was now mad at me, and we had to figure out parking on our own.
Uhh okay...
Anyways, we are on our way to the concert when Loryn tells me what the deal was supposed to be, before I "ruined it" by having no money.
Apparently Loryn and her mom agreed that I should pay for EVERYTHING at the concert, because I got a "free ride" to it. They wanted me to pay for the parking, the food, the merch and anything else she wanted while we were out.
The tickets were $30 bitch. And they weren't that great.
I am very grateful that Loryn chose me to go with her, but had I known all of this crap was going to be spilled on me, I wouldn't have gone.
If someone invites you to go to a concert, that they got tickets for as a present, should you have to pay for everything? Or anything for that matter? I understand paying for your own food, and gas money if they're driving. But to pay for their merch and parking and food and everything their heart desires? That's a little much, right?
Anygay, I had an amazing time watching the show. All bullshit aside, GaGa is amazing and that's what mattered to me at the end of the day.
